Hyundai to Sell Luxury Veracruz in Vietnam
Hyundai Vietnam said it will sell luxury Veracruz crossover vehicle in Vietnam from August, aiming to attract high income-earners in the country.
Hyundai Vietnam will distribute two models of Veracruz in Vietnam.
The seven-seat Veracruz, measured 4.84 m long, 1.945 m wide and 1.75 m high, is powered 3.8L V6 260-horsepower engine to reach a speed of 100 km/h within 8.3 seconds
The 3.0L V6 240-horsepower diesel engine can travel at 100 km/h within 10.3 seconds.
However, the company did not provide selling prices for the new models.
Vietnam is now imposing heavy taxes on automobiles.
The price of Hyundai Veracruz in the US is US$26,995-32,305, depending on models.
According to traders, the selling price of Hyundai Veracruz in Vietnam will be US$66,000-72,000. (Autonet)
