Vietnam Apparel Exports to Russia up 16.4 per cent in June
Vietnam’s garments and textiles exporters are estimated to gain US$12.3 million from exporting to Russia in June, up 16.4 per cent on-year and 78.8 per cent on-month, representing the highest growth so far, Trade Information Center said on Monday.
The sector’s total export revenue in the first six months reached US$31.3 million, it noted.
Among all the apparel export categories, sales of jackets took the lead with 635,000 sets raking worth US$13.1 million, up 30.7 per cent on year in terms of volume and 57 per cent on year in terms of value over.
Two-way trade between Vietnam and Russia was estimated to reach US$1.1 billion in 2006, up 8 per cent on-year, said government statistics, stressing that the two countries aim to raise bilateral trade to US$2-3 billion in 2010.
