Techcombank Launches E-payment Gate

Vietnam Technology and Commercial Bank, or Techcombank, has officially introduced F@st VietPay, an electronic gateway to facilitate online payment for its clients.

 

Techcombank said with e-payment gate, its clients using Visa cards or MasterCard can buy goods through websites both inside and outside country like the way of buying goods through such famous ones as Amazon.com, Alibaba.com and Ebay.com.

 

Michael Johnson, marketing director of Techcombank, said the demand for online purchases is increasing in Vietnam, leading to the fast growth of websites for goods sales. However, most of these websites allow buyers to use simple payment methods such as paying via ATM cards, directly in cash, or using money transfer service.

 

“Our e-payment gate will provide customers with a new payment method with the international standard, easier, more favorable and faster,” he said.

 

The gate is jointly built by Techcombank and Asia Pay, an expert in providing online payment solution locating in Hong Kong.

 

At the opening ceremony, Techcombank inked a cooperation deal with the Online Supermarket 123mua, webmaster of www.123mua.com.vn. (VnEconomy, New Hanoi)
