Tourism Skill Training Seminar

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) held a seminar on “improving the awareness of tourism - skill training programme” at Majestic Saigon Hotel on August 23, 2007, providing a human resources overview of the current Vietnamese tourism industry to concerned individuals and enterprises.

 

The seminar emphasised the improvement of tourism understanding and skill training. The event also has specific and practical action programmes, such as setting up relationships between relevant organs and branches like customs, import-export security officials, and tourism and travel firms

 

At the workshop, Mr Tran Phu Cuong, VNAT representative said, “This is a useful programme to increase the capacity of Vietnamese tourism in comparison with regional countries.” This seminar introduced the goals and strategies to develop the tourism industry in the coming years. This event focused more deeply in the roles and responsibilities of concerned individuals, units and organisations in the hospitality industry.
