Van Phong Bay - Unspoiled Natural Beauty

Anyone travelling by sea to Tam Island, Mot Island or other islands in Nha Trang, is still amazed at the unspoiled natural beauty of Van Phong. The Dam Mon peninsula makes its first impression with strips of sand. Going along the strips of sand, the tourists could take pleasure on not only the Co Don hill behind a grove of Tuan Le ancient trees, known as a rendezvous between courting couples on moonlit nights, but also other hills in Dam Mon. On the ship around Dam Mon peninsula, tourists can see large rocks naturally shaped into bears, elephants, dogs and chickens, etc. which look like masterpieces of a talented sculptor. Located in the circle of large rocks, Ong Island stands out for its distinct beauty, particularly the cottage roofs of Vietnam lying side by side on the beach.

 

Located in the Xuan Dung beach, Xuan Dung village is recognized by only 11 houses of the Dang Ha people. Local people will treat tourists to cool fresh water taken from the artesian waters under the layers of sand. Local people earn their living by catching cuttle-fish and crabs, the inhabitants often use traps to catch the crabs and hook the cuttle-fish on small boats at night. These kinds of seafood can be purchased by tourists. Also, the village is unique for not having paths for transportation because the villagers choose water or their neighbouring doors for movement, rather than land. Xuan Dung beach is also famous for its pile of overlapped stones like a small oasis. 

 

In Van Phong, tourists are also attracted by diving at Me beach and Lach beach, and enjoying the pristine natural environment. A new hotel at Van Phong will welcome tourists to spend the night there to wait for sunrise on the sea. Tourists, therefore, have the chance to see the first sunbeams to the country in Mui Doi, while listening to the waves in the charm of a starry night.

Along with making Van Phong a key economic area with Huyndai-Vinashin Shipyard Co, Ninh Thuy Industrial Zone, etc, Khanh Hoa province is also about to turn Van Phong into an international tourist area for health treatment.
