Vietnam-WTO Trade Fair 2008 to Open Early 2008
A Vietnam-WTO trade fair and exhibition will be held in Hanoi from January 12-17 next year to remark Vietnam's one-year membership, released at a press briefing November 17 in Hanoi.
More than 300 domestic and foreign firms have registered to attend the event, including major groups such as Vincom, Vinpearl, the Vietnam Textile and Garment group and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam.
On the fair and exhibition's framework, the organizing board will honor excellent enterprises, businesses and trademarks with awards of Golden Globe 2007, Vietnam Star 2007.
The event is aimed at introducing the images of a number of WTO member economies, which have large investment into Vietnam, achievements of the Vietnamese ministries, sectors, enterprises and localities and highlight tourism, services and handicraft and fine art items of Vietnam.
The event will include some seminars on securities market, WTO and foreign investment.
The Vietnam-WTO trade fair 2008 is expected to introduce Vietnam’s huge potential to foreign countries, promoting cooperation, investment and trade between domestic and foreign entrepreneurs, Deputy Prime Minster Nguyen Sinh Hung said. (VNA)
