Assistance to Household Businesses
On the occasion of the “IT integration” programme, VCCI Vice-President Hoang Van Dung discussed the programme with the press.
Could you introduce the IT integration programme?
According to VCCI surveys, 97 per cent of household businesses do not use IT. Our first task is to increase awareness of IT application, so that the businesses can apply IT increasing their business efficiency, reputation, market information and competitiveness at home and abroad.
Together with partners, VCCI will assist nearly 3 million household businesses to begin IT application with financial support for equipment purchase. Techcombank will provide VND30-million loans with three year terms and low interest rates for equipment purchase. The businesses will need VND6-30 million for equipment purchase. VCCI will assist them to choose suitable computers and solutions to increase their business efficiency.
How long will the programme last and what are the conditions for businesses?
The programme will be long term. Our first target is 3 million household businesses. Later on, it will be expanded, as each year Vietnam gains 50,000 new businesses and we have to assist them as well.
Businesses involved must have a minimum three years of operation based on their business registration. We will help businesses go through credit formalities.
How can you reach 97 per cent of household businesses without IT connections?
First, through the mass media, we show them the benefits of IT application. Second, we will help them choose optimal solutions, as they lack both capital and human resources.
