EU Helps Local SMEs Get Ahead
A seminar on “How to Access the EU27 Market” took place at the Harbour View Hotel in Hai Phong on Friday, October 12.
Sponsored by the Delegation of the European Commission to Vietnam and hosted by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) in collaboration with the Vietnam-EU Business Forum and the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the “How to Access the EU27 Market” seminar brought together more than 100 local SMEs to explore the Vietnamese-EU trade relationship and learn more about exporting to the lucrative EU market of 500 million consumers.
The seminar was designed to help SMEs improve their competitive edge in the WTO marketplace, as well as to increase their ability to develop productive commercial relationships with EU partners.
“Building the capacity of Vietnamese SMEs to compete in a globally integrated economy and to benefit from the fertile EU-Vietnam trade relationship are top priorities for both the Delegation of the European Commission in Vietnam and EuroCham, and we are very pleased to be able to collaborate with local partners such as VCCI to promote understanding in this vital area,” said Mr Nicholas Greenfield, EuroCham Director.
