Golf Tournament Opens to Celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneur Day

Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is going to open the 3rd Vietnam Businessman Golf Tournament 2007 (VCCI Cup) at Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club, starting from 12:00 on Saturday, October 13, 2007.
 
Apart from the purpose of celebrating the Vietnam Entrepreneur Day (October 13, 2007), the special event of the Vietnam business community, this year’s golf tournament also aims to highlight brilliant achievements of Vietnam’s 20-year economic reform, as well as remark the first year of the country’s WTO membership, remarked Mr. Doan Duy Khuong, VCCI Vice Executive President. 
 
The annual sport event of VCCI gather 144 golfers, including leaders of leading enterprises from all economic sectors in Vietnam and 10 V.I.P guests who are Government officials, leaders of ministries, and ambassadors to Vietnam. It will create a good chance for entrepreneurs to exchange views, strengthen multi-faceted relations in the Vietnam business community, and enjoy a wonderful weekend with great prizes.
 
The staging of VCCI’s Vietnam Businessman Golf Tournament 2007 is further testament that Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club is “The Best Place to Play” and we look forward to making this event a memorable golfing experience, said Lars Holden, General Manager.
 
With full experience in organizing series of large-scale golf tournaments so far, and thanks to strong support and sponsorship from ANZ, Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club, Masso Group, and other enterprises, VCCI expects to bring interesting moments on the golf course and valuable business relations to both Vietnamese and foreign business people from the event.

The first tournament took place at Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club in Hai Duong Province with the participation of 217 golfers and the VCCI Cup championship belonged to Mr. Yutaka Morimoto, Second Vice President of Nomura Hai phong Industrial Zone Development Corporation.
 
The second one, gathering 144 golfers, was held at Kings’ Island Golf in Dong Mo, Ha Tay, and Mr. Nicolas Lau, CEO of a Malaysia-invested company in Vietnam won the cup. No Vietnamese businessman has won VCCI Cup Champion so far.
