Vietnam's Biggest Seafood Exporter Aims for US$660 Mln in 2008
Southernmost Ca Mau province, the biggest seafood exporter in Vietnam in 2007, set the target to export US$660 million worth of seafood this year, or 89.55 per cent of the province’s total export revenues.
The figure will show a rise of 9.27 per cent from 2007 when the province’s seafood revenues hit US$600 million, up by 4.6 per cent against previous year.
Ca Mau is now home to 21 seafood companies, running 27 processing plants with combined capacity of 147.589 tons per annum.
Currently, the province exports its seafood products to 30 countries and territories worldwide. (Vietnam Economic Times)
