HCMC: 60 per cent Industrial Firms Use Second-hand Equipment
Up to 60 per cent of the surveyed industrial businesses in the southern economic hub Ho Chi Minh City are using second-hand equipment, said the city’s Department of Science and Technologies.
These 19 responded businesses belong to plastic, rubber, food processing, engineering sectors, reported the Youth newspaper.
In terms of technologies, they ranked at medium level, while 40 per cent of them reported high and medium risk of pollution.
In terms of main products’ competitiveness, five of them reported high level, seven of good and seven others of average and above average level, the department was quoted as saying.
