Vietnam, Turkey Urged to Expand Trade to US$1Bln: Ambassador

The trade value between and should be widened to US$1 billion a year from US$400 million currently to meet the two nations’ potentials and wishes, said outgoing Turkish ambassador to Vietnam Yahya Akkurt.

The diplomat made the statement while being received by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung March 13 in Hanoi on the occasion of the end of his five-year term in .

The PM Dung highly appraised the ambassador’s active contribution to strengthening the bilateral ties of diplomacy, economy, trade, investment and culture.

Dung expressed his country wanted to cooperate with the Republic of Turkey in all fields, hoping that the ambassador will continue to give his hand to bring the bilateral relations to new height.
