Vietnam: Great Effort to Restrict Inflation
Nguyen Van Giau, Governor of the State Bank and vice-chairman of the annual conference of the Asian Development Bank in Madrid, Spain from 1 to 8 May, 2008, has made a speech about policies to restrict inflation and minimize the impact on economy to hundreds of financial officials and the World Bank. In a broad sense, the speech expresses the message of Vietnam’s effort on minimizing inflation, stabilizing the economy and directing sustainable economic growth for investors to regain confidence in Vietnam. Vietnam’s participation in this conference will bring more opportunities for Vietnam in acknowledging the policies of the leading financial organization and capitalizing the assistance of ADB through loan incentive and technological aids.
