Int'l Communications & IT Expo to Open in HCMC in July
The 13th international exhibition on communications and information technology (ECIT 2008) will open in HCM City from July 15-19, drawing the participation of more than 200 domestic and foreign groups worldwide.
The participants will showcase latest products and services in the field during the event, the organizing board said.
Seminars on Vietnam communications and IT industry 2008 will be also held with the focus on policies, IT human resources, Internet Vietnam as well as solutions to further develop the sector in the future.
This year, Vietnamese is forecast to spend US$2 billion on IT products and services, up 15 per cent over 2007, according to IDG Vietnam, a member of the organizing board.
Vietnam IT industry will gain revenues of US$2.1 billion in 2011, up US$0.6 billion compared to last year, IDG Vietnam added.
The annual growth rate of the local IT market will hit over 11.4 per cent in the 2007-2011 period, IDG Vietnam said. (News)
