Gold Prices Slightly Dropping in Vietnam
Gold prices started to fall slightly in Vietnam, where people have attempted to hoard gold to wait for higher prices, due to gold price decrease on the global market, the VnExpress online newspaper said.
On June 10’s afternoon, Sai Gon Jewelry Company (SJC) traded gold at VND18.43 million per tael, down VND50,000 per tael compared to the previous day. The world gold price, meanwhile, was at USUS$883/oz, down USUS$10/oz.
By 10a.m. on June 9 (local time) in the Asian market, the price of gold came down to USUS$889/oz.
At the same time, Sai Gon Jewelry Company (SJC)’s gold was sold at VND18.35 million-VND18.48 million/tael, down more than VND200,000/tael. Bao Tin Minh Chau Gold, Silver and Gemstone Company fixed the selling price at VND18.5 million/tael, down over VND200,000/tael. (VnExpress.Net)
