Taiwanese Firm Expands Investment in Vietnam
The Taiwanese-invested Hung Nghiep Formosa Co. Ltd, located in Nhon Trach 3 industrial park in the southern province of Dong Nai, has increased its investment capital from US$956 million to US$1.116 billion.
This was the eighth capital increase by the firm since it began operation in 2004. Now it is biggest foreign-invested enterprise in Dong Nai.
Hung Nghiep Formosa has a textile plant, artificial thread plants, a plastic plant and a 150 MW thermal power plant in the province.
The firm plans to put into operation three more projects, including a 5,000 cubic meter water treatment plant. (VNA)
