Mekong Capital officially Invested in Digiworld

On Dec 16,2008), the Mekong Enterprise Fund II managed by Mekong Capital officially signs the strategic cooperation agreement with Digiworld Corporation for the total investment capital of US$5Mil.

 

Mr. Doan Hong Viet, co-founder and CEO of Digiworld said: “The signing ceremony is a milestone for the official strategic cooperation between Mekong Capital and Digiworld. MEF II is one of the few private equity-focused funds in Vietnam that committed in long-term growth through adding value to the businesses.”

 

Mr. Hoang Xuan Chinh, Portfolio Manager of MEF II and Director of Mekong Capital said: “We are very positive about this investment and we believe Digiworld can achieve its ambitious targets in the next 5 years. Aiming at adding values to the Fund’s investee companies, the investment team of Mekong Capital in general and MEF II in particular will work closely with the management team of Digiworld to better execute Company’s expansion plans. Specifically, we will support Digiworld in those areas such as Human Resources (including policies and recruitment of key positions), sales and marketing strategies, as well as accounting and finance.”
