Vietnam Insurers Pour VND50.9 Tln in Financial Investments This Year
The Vietnam Insurance Association reported that local insurance companies have injected a total of VND50.9 trillion (US$3.1 billion) in financial investment in the country so far this year.
The sum of money has been invested mainly in government bonds, bank deposits and guaranteed assets.
Of the total, life insurers have invested VND36 trillion while non-life insurance firms have pumped VND14.9 trillion.
In 2008, insurers have also contributed VND450 billion into the state budget, the Securities Investment newspaper reported. (Securities Investment)
