Vietnam Govt Assigns Ministry to Conduct Mrs World Pageans 2009
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has appointed Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to conduct a steering board for the organization of Mrs World Pageans 2009 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in November this year, the Government Office said.
The decision was announced in Dispatch No. 651/VPCP-KGVX sent to the ministry and the provincial People’s Committee Feb 3.
At present, there are 60 nations worldwide having registered for the beauty contest.
On schedule, the current Mrs World, Mrs Ukraine Shmarennova Natalya, and second runner-ups of the pageans 2008 will arrive in Vietnam for this year’s event.
Last year, Mrs Vietnam Dieu Hoa named among top five of the pageans. (News)
