VCCI President Shares Experience with Counterpart from Ethiopia
Dr. Vu Tien Loc, VCCI President, on February 2 had a meeting to share VCCI experience with the delegation of Ethiopia Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by Mr. Getachew Ayenew, the chamber’s President.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2009, Dr. Loc sent warm greetings to all members of the delegation and briefly introduced VCCI activities in supporting Vietnamese enterprises to promote their businesses and contributing to the Government’s target to bring the total number of Vietnamese enterprises to 500,000 by 2010.
With great efforts, VCCI has become an important bridge between Vietnamese enterprises and the Government, between Vietnamese enterprises and foreign trade promotion organizations and between businesses and businesses.
The delegation also worked separately with VCCI’s departments and branches to have intensive experience in business assistance.
Ethiopia has potential in industrial and agricultural sectors, however, the two sectors have not developed so far due to natural disasters, interior wars, and backward technologies.
Vietnam mainly export leather and footwear, garment and textile, rice, seafood, plastic products, coffee, and pepper to Ethiopia, and import wood, cotton and wooden products from Ethiopia.
