HCMC to Host 1st Seminar On Market Prospects For Vietnamese Agriculture
The first seminar on prospects for Vietnam’s agricultural market will open in Ho Chi Minh City on March 24-25, local media reported.
The seminar is jointly held by the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development (IPSARD), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the HCMC Food Organization, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Can Tho.
The event will be a forum for domestic and foreign scientists, specialists and policymakers to exchange information, make forecasts about agricultural products and discuss development policies.
Delegates will make an in-depth analysis of the agricultural sector in Vietnam and the world in 2008, and market trends for 3 key products-coffee, rice and cattle-breeding in 2009.
In addition, the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Environment will present a report on climate change forecast for Vietnam and the world in 2009, impacting domestic agriculture as well as making predictions about the future of the Asian dairy market. (VoV, Vietnam Law)
