Vietnam Receives US$198M ODA in Q1, Down 5.73 per cent On Year
Vietnam is estimated to have disbursed US$198 million of ODA in the first quarter this year, making up 10.4 per cent of the year’s target and down 5.73 per cent on year, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
Of US$198 million received, US$153 million is soft loans and the remaining is grants, the ministry said.
In the first three months, Vietnam has signed ODA agreements totaling US$26.23 million with Japan, IFA, GEF, and UNDP, including US$21 million of soft loans and grants of US$5.23 million.
Vietnam also attracts US$2.1 billion of pledged FDI investments during the period, down 70 per cent on year.
At the CG meeting held in early Dec, international donors pledged US$5.014 billion in ODA for next year, down 7.2 per cent on year. (The People)
