Japanese Biz Seek Investment Opportunities in Vietnam

A business delegation from Aichi province, one of the largest economic and industrial centers of central Japan, attended a meeting in Ho Chi Minh City Jun 2 to exchange business information and seek more cooperation opportunities between the two sides.
 
Participants, including 30 businesses from Aichi, discussed tax policies, regulations on forex currencies, credit and banking, and loan and production assistance for Japanese enterprises at Vietinbank. 
 
About 60 firms from Aichi province have so far invested in Vietnam, including 30 with projects on various fields of steel, construction, weaving, electronics, and engineering in the south.
 
Japan has to date reported up to 1,100 valid investment projects in Vietnam with accumulated capital of US$17.2 billion, including over US$5 billion worth of disbursement. (Vietnam Economic Times, Investment)
