Int'l Delegates Explore Vietnam's Central Province
A delegation of officials from 35 international diplomatic corps and the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs arrived in the central province of Quang Tri on July 26 to survey the investment environment.
The mission, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son, who is also the Chairman of the National Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, studied the province’s potentials, particularly in the areas of eco-tourism, sea-born economy and historical monuments.
The guests also made suggestions about the use of the East-West Economic Corridor, human resource training, exploitation of the locality’s offshore gas field and the use of the My Thuy deep-water seaport.
The province has great potentials to develop projects in the agro-forestry-fishery sector and tourism.
It is a gateway of the East-West Economic Corridor, which is expected to boost trade ties with Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. (Vietnam & World Economy)
