Flowers of different kinds and colours have become part and parcel of the country. Visitors to the Netherlands can enjoy the fragrance and beauty of the flowers at several tourist sites.

Keukenhof park
Each time when Spring comes with warm sunlight, Keukenhof park is enlivened with visitors. From an old and small park of a duchess, Keukenhof is proud to be nicknamed the “Park of Europe” with 7 million kinds of flowers, especially tulips, the symbol of the Netherlands with 4.5 million flowers of over 100 kinds. The richness and diversity of the flowers in Keukenhof came from the cooperation of 7 entrepreneurs in neighbouring villages. Each section has its own feature and school of arts.

Keukenhof is open to tourists from the last week of March to mid-May. Strolling in the vast areas with winding streams, visitors feel at a lost in the paradise of flowers with valleys of tulips, narcisuses, orchids, rows of trees, gavel paths and the biggest fountains in Europe. The scene is enlivened with parades organized in April with dozens of flower carriers in different shapes. Keukenhof is also decorated with a peaceful river lined on both sides by green trees and birds flying and hopping in front of visitors.
