Recently, the international leader in self-service wholesale, METRO Cash & Carry, announces its new outlet in the city of Long Xuyen, An Giang province. This will be the second wholesale centre of METRO Cash & Carry in the Mekong Delta Region. With this move, the company again underlines its long term commitment to the country’s development. The METRO Cash & Carry wholesale model is exclusively designed for business customers.

“An Giang is a fast developing province of the Mekong Delta Region and is well known for significant rice trading and fish processing. The new centre is planned for year 2010 and is to serve about 90,000 small and medium-sized business customers in An Giang province and in the Mekong Delta Region. The store will offer more than 25,000 articles in food and non-food of which 95 percent are locally produced. Around 250 new jobs will be created by the new centre.
