Around 300 companies from South Korea’s Seocho state will seek investment opportunities in Vietnam, according to state chief Sung-Joong Park.

During a meeting with Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc on September 9, Park said that state enterprises expect to receive more assistance from the VCCI for their business in Vietnam.

Seocho, one of the richest states in Seoul city, boasts strong IT development. It is also a hub of companies in South Korea.

South Korean investors still consider Vietnam as a top choice in the Southeast Asian region for their medium and long-term investments, the South Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry said in a report.

The report studying the business prospects of 250 South Korean companies in Vietnam indicated that 50.3% of South Korea’s businesses select Vietnam for their investments.
