METALEX Vietnam 2009 Closed with Brighter Future of Manufacturing for Vietnam

METALEX Vietnam 2009 closed with a high note as exhibitors were satisfied with the quality of business opportunities and the organization of the show and visitors were enthusiastic about the new machine tools and metalworking technologies they experienced and obtained at the event.
 
The total of 6,659 Vietnamese industrialists from across Vietnam and trade missions from many countries attended METALEX Vietnam 2009 and discovered new technologies, learned new knowledge, and expanded their business networks, remarked the organizer of event, Reed Tradex Company, Thailand and Vietnam’s leading international trade exhibitions and conferences organizer.
 
According to Ms. Nichapa Yoswee, Managing Director of Reed Tradex, the scale of Metalex Vietnam 2009 was much bigger than the last year show despite bad impacts of the global economic crisis. The largest national pavilions belonged to Thailand with 20 manufacturers, Singapore with members of the two leading machinery and electronics associations, and China with 30 exhibitors. In addition, Japan and Chinese Taiwan contributed lots of new technologies to the show.
 
Mr. Vu Huy Hoang, Vietnam’s Minister of Trade and Industry, noted that Metalex Vietnam 2009 created good opportunities for Vietnamese manufacturers to new, modern electronics and metalworking machines and technologies from all over the world to better serve the local manufacturing industry.

Vietnam’s Manufacturing Speed Ahead with New Technologies
In METALEX Vietnam 2009, Vietnamese manufacturing industrialists purchased new technologies to improve their production efficiency and made the investment to save cost and increase business sustainability. And that adds into the acceleration of the advancement of Vietnamese manufacturing industry.

Vietnamese Industrialists Got Technical Upgraded
In addition to over 1,000 items of new technologies that 500 brands from 25 countries brought to exhibit in METALEX Vietnam 2009, visitors also gained first-hand experiences with new high-technology innovations in “HI-TECH Zone” in which new state-of-the-art technologies from China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan were showcased. And in the zone, “Motoman,” an intelligent industrial robot showed off its capability to weld and cut metals with laser in “Robot Demonstration.”

Business Network Expanded in Center of Industry Players
METALEX Vietnam 2009 was the center of industry executives who attended the show. The show’s official opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking executives from both local and overseas organizations and associations. Also, manufacturing professionals attended the show and got connected with both their existing and potential business partners. In METALEX Vietnam, Vietnam’s manufacturing business network has been expanded.
 
New Knowledge Enhance Manufacturing Competitiveness
During the show, Conference and Technology Presentation sessions were conducted to provide new knowledge and introduction to new technologies to delegates. The speakers included Mr. Viroj Sirithanasart, President of Thai Tool and Die Industry Association (TDIA, Mr. Passakorn Chairat, Director of Information Management and Advisory Division, Department of Industrial Promotion, Thailand, Mr. Vu Hong Nhan, Application Engineer of Tan Duc TD&T, Vietnam, and Mr. Helmut Welzl, Regional Manager, Hainbuch GmbH Spannende Technik, Germany.

METALEX 2009 in Thailand – More benefits for Vietnamese Industrialists
On the sidelines of Metalex Vietnam 2009, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau(TCEB) jointly organized a roadshow in Ho Chi Minh City with Reed Tradex to publicize benefits offered by the Thai government for Vietnamese industrialists attending Thai exhibitions. One example is the METALEX 2009 the largest machinery and metal working exhibition in Southeast Asia to be held November 19-22, 2009 at BITEC, Bangkok, as a send off for year-end 2009. This exhibition entering its 23rd edition, has been held every year. This year visitors can expect over 4,000 items on show from 2,700 exhibitors from 50 countries and 11 international pavilions. Visitors are expected to number over 55,000 industrialists and manufacturers.
