Vietnam Coconut Exports up 46.3% to $33M in Jan-Aug
Vietnam shipped $33 million worth of coconut and coconut products in the first eight months of 2009, up 46.3% from a year earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
In Aug 2009, the country reaped $4.5 million from exporting coconut and coconut product, up 88% compared to Aug 2008.
Vietnamese coconut and coconut products, including frozen coconut juice, coconut leaves, and coconut flesh, have entered 74 markets in the world, including China, United Emirates of Arab Saudi, Egypt, and Syria. (Vinanet)
