Vietnam Exports $1.3B Goods to S. Korea in Jan-Aug

Vietnam exported $1.3 billion worth of goods to South Korea in the first eight months of 2009, up 0.3% from a year earlier.
 
Among Vietnam’s key exports to South Korea, crude oil topped the list with $295.27 million during the period, jumping 71% on year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
 
It was followed by seafood with $189.24 million, footwear with $122.95 million and coal with $67.99 million, down 11%, up 50% and up 30% on year, respectively.
 
Trade between Vietnam and South Korea is forecast at between $8.9 billion and $9.3 billion this year. (Vinanet)
