Vietnam Steel Sales Up 10%-15% in First Half of November
Sales of steel producers in Vietnam in the first half of this month increased between 10% and 15% on-month, the Tuoi Tre newspaper quoted Chairman of the Vietnam Steel Association Pham Chi Cuong as saying.
The chairman, however, did not give the exact volume of steel consumption during the period.
The state-owned Vietnam Steel Corporation (VnSteel) and other steel producers in Vietnam raised their selling prices by VND200,000 (US$11.19) per ton from Nov.17 due to strong fluctuations of forex rate recently.
At present, steel retail prices stand between VND11.6 million and VND11.65 million per ton. (Youth)
