Vietnam Trade Deficit Estimated at US$61.9B in 2006-2010
Vietnam’s trade deficit is estimated at US$61.9 billion during the 2006-2010 period, representing 23.1% of the country’s estimated export value.
The country's widening trade gap is worsening deficit in current accounts and hurting forex reserves and balance of international payments, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
Vietnam’s current account deficit during the period is forecast at US$30 billion, the ministry said. (Vietnam Economic Times)
