Vietnam, Cambodia Aim for US$2B Trade in 2010
Vietnam and Cambodia are striving to boost bilateral trade to US$2 billion next year, up from the estimated value of US$1.3 billion in 2009.
The target was set by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Hun Sen at a conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec. 26 to accelerate Vietnam’s investment in its neighbor.
The two-way trade is forecast to drop 23.53% to US$1.3 billion this year.
Vietnam has to date invested nearly US$900 million in projects in Cambodia and targets to raise its investments in the neighbor to US$6 billion in 2015. (Labor)
