Vietnam-China Trade Up 2.9% to US$18.4B in Jan-Nov

Trade between Vietnam and China rose 2.4% from a year earlier to US$18.4 billion in the first eleven months of this year, the Cong Thuong (Trade & Industry) newspaper cited Vietnamese Trade Counselor to China Nguyen Duy Phu as saying.
 
Of the sum, Vietnam exported over US$4.2 billion worth of goods to China and imported US$14.2 billion, up 5.1% and 2.3% on-year, respectively, Phu said.
 
Vietnam incurred US$10 billion trade deficit with China during the period, rising 1.1% from a year earlier.
 
The two-way trade is likely to reach US$25 billion next year, the counselor forecast.
 
Vietnam is projected to reap US$5 billion from exporting goods to China in 2009, up 10.229% on-year, and import US$16.5 billion from the neighbor, up 6.04% on-year. (Trade & Industry)
