Coffee Price Drop Brings Vietnam Province Exports down 31%
Vietnam’s central highlands province of Dak Lak reported US$80 million of export turnover in Jan-Feb, down 31% on-year.
The province sold US$50 million and US$30 million worth of products in Jan and Feb respectively, the Ho Chi Minh City stock exchange said on its bulletin Mar 04.
Experts said the export plunge resulted from 3-year-low prices of coffee, which makes up more than 80% of the province’s annual export turnover. (HOSE)
