Vietnam Major Banks Lend VND500B to Coffee Growers
Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) and Bank for Social Policies in central highlands Gia Lai province are providing VND500 billion in loans to local farmers to take care of coffee plantations.
The province’s coffee productivity and quality is forecast to decrease as worms are attacking up to 25,000 hectares.
Gia Lai is the third largest coffee growing area in the central highlands region with around 76,368 hectares, after Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces. (Vietnam Agriculture)
