Vietnam’s central province of Nghe An is seeking US$250 million for 22 eco-tourism projects from now to 2015, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said May 19.

The projects include an eco-tourist area at Khe Kem Waterfall worth US$63 million, a tourist site at Quyet Mountain-Ben Thuy valued at US$25 million, US$10 million Sao Va Waterfall and US$6 million Nghi Thiet Beach.

To tap tourism potentials, the local authorities have called upon investors to get involved in sea, convalescence and eco-tourism in Quynh Luu, Cua Lo, Nghi Loc, Con Cuong and Nam Dan districts.

Nghe An has pledged to grant numerous incentives for investors in terms of investment promotion, site clearance, better infrastructure and land lease.

Under an overall plan on tourism development toward 2020, Nghe An will welcome 235,000 international tourists and earn tourism revenues of VND1.6 trillion (US$89.6 million) in 2020. (Vietnamtourism)
