Vietnam Jan-May LPG Imports Down 28.8% to 235,700 Tons: Ministry
Vietnam imported 235,700 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) worth $178.2 million in the first five months of this year, down 28.8% from a year earlier in volume but up 11% in value, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Southeast Asian country spent $37 million on buying 48,000 metric tons of LPG in May, representing respective on-month surges of 48.4% and 47.3%.
China was Vietnam’s biggest LPG exporter in the five-month period with 103,453 metric tons worth $81.4 million.
It was followed by Malaysia with 43,090 tons valued at $34 million and Saudi Arabia with 21,592 tons worth $11.9 million. (Trade Info)
