The machine tools and metalworking technology trade exhibition and conference in Vietnam “METALEX Vietnam 2010” is scheduled to be held by the Thailand-based Reed Tradex Company at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City from October 7 to 9, 2010.
As part of the Metalex exhibition chain - the largest machine tools and metalworking event in Southeast Asia, Metalex Vietnam 2010 promises to be of a great significance for the Vietnamese manufacturing industry.
Following the success of three previous exhibitions, METALEX Vietnam 2010 will introduce latest patents of 300 exhibitors from 35 countries and territories, including five international sections for Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and the UK.
Metalex Vietnam 2010 will be a marketplace for sellers and buyers to meet and consider business opportunities and discover technologies they need to expand production, boost efficiency and cut costs.
Additionally, Metalex Vietnam will bring experience, new know-how and business opportunities for concerned companies trough sideline activities like Hi-tech Park for displaying advanced machines and technologies from China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, including hydraulic machines, press-brake machines, water jet cutting machines and CNC lathes; and Robot Demonstration for showing extraordinary capacities of ‘Motoman’ - an intelligent industrial robot with laser cutting and welding capabilities.
Technological seminars will introduce new technologies, techniques and secrets. Besides, Electronics Assembly 2010 - an international event for manufacturing parts and electronic parks - will show new technologies and business opportunities for visitors and participators.
Notably, combined with the Metalex Vietnam 2010 is the "Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Ho Chi Minh City" co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). On June 10, 2010 in Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, Ho Chi Minh City, JETRO, ITPC and Reed Tradex signed a contract on organising the event and sideline activities.
Ms Nichapa Yoswee, Managing Director of Reed Tradex, said: “This is a perfect combination because the two exhibitions completely supplementary. Activities incorporated with the two events will create a centre of transactions for the manufacturing community at the same location and they will create a panorama of manufacturing industry.”
According to Mr Nguyen Anh Ngoc, Deputy General Director of ITPC, the fourth exhibition will focus on introducing metal and plastic components and accessories. Participants include Japanese companies wanting to buy components and accessories manufactured in Vietnam and Vietnamese companies wanting to sell components and accessories to Japanese companies. There will be more than 100 companies operating automobile, motorcycle and electronics industries, including 50 from Japanese companies in Vietnam or from Japan and 50 Vietnamese companies.
