China Remains Vietnam Top Supplier of Steel, Iron in H1

China remained Vietnam’s biggest supplier of steel and iron with export revenues of $187.71 million in the first half of this year, rising 9.31% from a year earlier.
 
Japan ranked the second with $162.93 million, up 35.55% on-year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said on its website late Tuesday.
 
Followings were South Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia with respective figures of $95.87 million (+30.34%), $48.02 million (+15.4%) and $9.29 million (+126.74%).
 
Italy reported the highest on-year export surge by 222.48% to $13.17 million, the ministry added.
 
Vietnam spent $750.21 million on imports of steel and iron during the period, up 19.8% on-year. (Vinanet)
