Netherlands Remains Biggest Investor in Vietnam in Jan-July

The Netherlands invested $2.2 billion in Vietnam in the first seven months of this year, ranking the first among investors in the country during the period, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) said.
The runners-up are South Korea with $1.8 billion, Japan with $1.3 billion and the U.S. with $1.08 billion, the ministry added.  
Vietnam licensed 533 foreign-invested projects totaling $8.4 billion and allowed 137 existing projects to add their capital by $715 million between January and July.
Foreign investors disbursed a total of $6.4 billion in the Southeast Asian country during the period.
This year, the Southeast Asian country expects to attract $25 billion and disburse $11 billion in FDI this year up 16.38% and 10% on-year, respectively. (MPI)
