In conjunction with the 17th ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2010 (ASEAN-BIS), the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) granted the ASEAN Business Award (ABA) to the eight Most Admired ASEAN Enterprises on October 27, 2010 in Hanoi. Two Vietnamese companies are among the winners.
In 2007, ASEAN BAC decided to launch ASEAN Business Award (ABA) to commemorate the 40th anniversary of ASEAN and honour successful ASEAN businesses that contribute to ASEAN economic growth and prosperity. ABA aims to promote global competitiveness and exemplary success stories of ASEAN businesses, as well as offer opportunities for SMEs to grow into multinational corporations and global groups.

ABA 2010 attracted 65 regional businesses to compete in four categories of innovation, growth, employment and corporate social responsibility.

Among 23 finalists, the judging board granted the awards to eight “Most Admired Enterprises”: Four large enterprises and four SMEs. The two winners from Vietnam are Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank - SeABank (for innovation) and Thu Duc Housing Development Corporation (for growth).
