Investment Promotion Forum on Northwest Provinces

The Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Central Steering Committee on Northwest have recently joined hands with north-western provinces to open an introductory meeting for the Investment Promotion Forum on North-western Provinces in 2010.

 

The forum will be held in Yen Bai province on December 10, 2010, aiming to lure investment capital into all north-western provinces, including Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien , Son La, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Lang Son and Cao Bang. This is the most important national investment promotion event for the north-western region in 2010. About 600 domestic and international delegates are expected to participate in the forum.

 

The forum will introduce major solutions to attract investment resources and promote socioeconomic development in the potential but untapped north-western region. Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong will chair the forum and present reports on social economic situations and potentials in the north-western region, and on investment attractions, investment orientations and principal projects in the region.

 

Apart from alluring capital into already-known fields, the forum will focus on analysing areas expected to create breakthroughs in attracting investment capital and accelerating socioeconomic development in north-western provinces.
