Vietnam Remains Attractive to S.Korean Firms: Official
Vietnam is a promising destination for foreign investors, including businesses from South Korea, the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) President Ju Tea Lee said at a seminar on Hanoi on December 20.
The seminar drew participations of 24 South Korean firms in garment and textiles, furniture, fashion accessories and construction materials came to Vietnam to seek business opportunities.
Currently, up to 24 South Korean companies are operating in these sectors in Vietnam, Lee noted, adding that this is the 3rd time that the KOIMA has held a visit to the Southeast Asian nation to look for investments.
Vietnam is among top investment choices for the South Korean firms, South Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) earlier said, adding that these companies will boost investments in the communist nation this year.
As of November 20, South Korean companies had 2,621 valid investment projects totaling $22.54 billion in Vietnam, ranking the second among investors in the country. (Vietnamplus)
