Acacia Woodworks to be Displayed at Binh Dinh Forest Product Festival

The branch of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Danang City has cooperated with the Netherlands Development Organisation in Vietnam (SNV Vietnam) to carry out a programme to support the value chain development of acacia trees.

 

The programme focuses on two the main beneficiaries: enterprises which saw the wood and those which process it for export in the Central and Central Highland regions.

To help these companies to expand their market, the VCCI and SNV Vietnam will hold a display of acacia wood products at Vietnam Forest Product Festival in Binh Dinh Province on March 26-29.

 

This is among outstanding activities of their cooperation in 2011. Here, the VCCI and SNV will organise a small market for the display of acacia wood products such as planks, floor-boards and handles of tables and chairs. This will be also a place for wood processors and exporters in the northern central region of Vietnam to exchange cooperation chances.

 

Participants will be directors and owners of wood processors and exporters in the northern central region; directors, vice directors and cadres of wood processing and exporting firms in the Central and Central Highlands region and the south as well.
