Phu Giang Paper and Packaging Company: Common House for Creativity

After over 20 years of establishment and development, Phu Giang Paper and Packaging Company has become one of the leading producers of paper, packaging and service providers, acknowledged by many domestic and international customers. In recent years the company has enjoyed a high growth in producing and trading operations. Every year, it receives many certificates of appreciation, gold cups, gold medals for its products’ quality from the central and local governments.

 

Currently, the company has 3 paper mills with 5 production lines with total capacity of 20,000 tonnes per year, including 2 production lines of Kraft paper, 3 production lines of Duplex paper. The latter provide 300 stable jobs. Along with paper production, in 2004, the company invested VND25 billion to construct a 10,000 sqm area for tourism - culture - sports in Vu Ninh ward, Bac Ninh city. Currently, this area operates effectively, creating 200 jobs, helping to increase annual revenues of the company. In June 2012, the company established the paper mill no. 3 equipped with a modern production line with capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year, producing high quality paper, creating over 100 jobs. Besides, the company also developed more services to support paper and packaging production. The Phu Son culture and sport 1,000 sq.m centre situated in Bac Ninh city has a swimming pool, waterfall, landscape, outdoor sport area and traditional wooden Vietnamese houses, Chinese houses and French multi-storey houses that attract many domestic and international tourists. The Phuong Hoang hotel 2 has 30 rooms and Phuong Hoang hotel 3 has 23 world standard rooms satisfying every customer requirement.

There is no big difference between employees and managers in Phu Giang, it is truly a “common house” where family member can freely be creative and take all advantages to contribute to this house. The company trade union frequently organizes internal activities. Outdoor activities such as sightseeing and travelling have become annual activities. The trade union, jointly with the Youth Union and Women’s Union, established football teams, volleyball teams, “quan ho” singing teams to help employees entertain and relax after long tiring working hours. More than that, the company also participates in gratitude, social activities like: donating nearly VND1 billion for warm clothes for the poor, for learning encouraging funds, and funds for the poor.

 

Thanks to its contribution, on the occasion of 20 years of operation (1992-2012), Phu Giang Paper and Packaging Company has been awarded Second class Labour Order by the President. It is a motivation for the company to overcome challenges and confirm its prestige. It also encourages the company to develop and contribute more to the prosperity of the country.
