Vietnam Tobacco Association Receives First Class Medal of Labour

Recently, at Melia Hotel, Hanoi, the Vietnam Tobacco Association held the anniversary of receiving the First Class Medal of Labour and celebrating 25 years of founding.
 
Vietnam Tobacco Association, one of the first associations founded in the country, through 25 years of establishment and development, has become the bridge for the tobacco enterprises community, contributed significantly to the development of economy and sociality of the country. From 25 original members, the association now has 64 members, including most tobacco enterprises: State economic sectors, private and foreign enterprises.
 
The Association State has been awarded the noble titles: Second Class Medal of Labour, Third Class Medal of Labour; and given a lot of merits by the Government and Ministry of Trade and Industry. Members of the association were also awarded: Vietnam Tobacco Corporation VINATABA was awarded the Medal of Ho Chi Minh; Saigon Industry Corporation, Khanh Viet Corporation, Dong Nai Corporation, VINATABA Saigon, VINATABA Thang Long were awarded the First Class Independence Medal, the Labour Medal and many merits by the ministries and localities.
 
At the anniversary of 25 years of founding, Vietnam Tobacco Association was honorably awarded the First Class Medal of Labour by the President, awarded for outstanding achievements contributed to the course of building and defending the country.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa warmly commended and appreciated the achievements of Vietnam Tobacco Association over the years and stressed the Association is on of the earliest associations and has been active effectively in Industry and Trade.
