Novartis Reaffirms Commitment to Vietnam Community Healthcare
Novartis reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing community healthcare in Vietnam as the research-based Swiss healthcare company celebrated the 2nd anniversary of its social venture program in the country, CùngSốngKhỏe.
Launched in 2012, CùngSốngKhỏe is a public-private partnership between Novartis and Vietnam’s Services of Health at the province level, working with doctors at community health centres to improve health awareness, education and access to health services, including diagnosis.
To date, CùngSốngKhỏe has facilitated health awareness education to more than 130,000 people and improved accessibility of affordable medicines in 100 underserved areas in Vietnam. The programme aims to educate up to 1.8 million people in the remote areas of 17 provinces on prevention of diseases such as diarrhea, diabetes, hypertension, malaria, respiratory conditions, and “hand, foot and mouth” disease.
