6th Conference of VCCI Management Board - Boosting Int’l Integration

 

On April 27 in Hanoi, the VCCI Management Board organised the 6th conference of the 4th session to map out concrete plans of action to further support the business community, partly contribute to build up the institutions of Vietnam’s market economy, and speed up the international integration of Vietnamese enterprises, particularly Vietnam’s accession to WTO.

 

The conference heard reports of key programmes that will be conducted in 2005 by VCCI, including the Meeting between Prime Minister and enterprises that is planned to take place on October 13-14, Day of Vietnamese entrepreneurs, plans to set up the Entrepreneur Fund, project on selecting and presenting VCCI annual awards to enterprises and entrepreneurs, and project on setting up the Vietnamese Association of Enterprises in foreign countries.   

 

Regarding the Meeting between Prime Minister and enterprises in 2005, Dr. Vu Tien Loc, VCCI President, directed that VCCI plans to establish a sub-committee to work out contents of the meeting with separate working groups such as customs, tax, land, administrative procedures, and others, therefore, VCCI will be able to select typical and noteworthy ideas that represent for associations and businesses. 

 

Members of the Management Board agreed to stately organise the first ceremony to celebrate the Day of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs with the aim of appreciating great contributions of Vietnamese enterprises and businessmen to Vietnam’s socio-economic development in general and to the country’s international integration in particular.   

 

Dr. Loc also asked the members to regularly send their proposals and inquiries to VCCI in a bid make VCCI activities and functions more effectively.
