Room Booking Websites for Central Cities Launched

Nam Phuong Travel and Worldhotel-Link have jointly launched three new website marketing online room reservations to help visitors to the central Vietnamese cities of Hue, Danang and Hoi An easily order rooms in advanced. They are http://www.hue-hotel.com; http://www.dannang-hotel.com; http://www.hoian-hotel.com.

 

The move is under a strategy to lure more arrivals to the region particularly in 2006, the year of full festive activities including major tourism an cultural events planed by regional localities.

 

The websites will also help small hotel operators establish an Internet presence, Len Cordineu, CEO of World-link said, explaining that “many small and medium-sized accommodation providers in Vietnam are still struggling to understand how they can tap the growing independent traveler market”.

 

“We can now help all accommodation providers-even the smallest ones- to promote their services and process online bookings. We are very happy to see the launch of these sites and look forward to assisting them in promoting the travel industry in the region” he added.

 

The sites were made possible through a grant from the International Finance Corporation and assistance from the Mekong Private Sector Development Facility, which ran workshops for hotels in the region last year highlighting the benefits of online marketing.
